Abhishek – The struggling Star

Reviewing the professional life of Abhishek was a mystery. Abhishek owns a legacy of a well- known Hindi Poet, Harivansh Rai Bachchan – as Grandfather and a super start of Hindi Film Industry, Amitabh Bachchan – as Father. The legacy that he owns is undisputedly number one in their respective fields. Abhishek has to go a long way to sustain it.
Abhishek entered the bollywood in 2000 with the moderately successful REFUGEE.

In the beginning of his career, directors tried to portray Amitabh’s acting in Abhishek. He had to emulate Amitabh, as in the movie TERA JADOO CHAL GAYA. But as every person has his own unique style, so did Abhishek. Later Abhishek stuck to his own way of acting.

During nine years of his film career, he has given more flops than hits. Even with the hits that he gave, the credit was not solely shared by him. Like in the film DHOOM, which was his major hit, but the credit for its success was grabbed more by John Abrahim.

He bagged Best Supporting Actor Award for YUVA, SARKAR and KABHI ALVIDA NA KEHNA. He has given 45 Hindi movies, out of which in 32 movies he played a leading role while in the remaining he gave a special appearance.

In GURU, he was acclaimed for his acting. Later on he played good in the movies like SHOOT OUT AT LOKHANDWALA, JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM and SARKAR RAJ.

For Abhishek, his Dad, Amitabh Bachchan is a great source of inspiration. Now, let’s wish luck to this struggling star, for his upcoming film, DELHI-6. I am fervently looking forwards the release of this movie….
