Abhi-Aish to be absent at IIFA Awards this year

The latest news is spreading all around that the Bachchan parivaar are mending with the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA), and that Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai would execute at the occasion in Toronto too. But it seems like Abhishek Bachchan has smashed the gossip. Just to make it clear, Abhishek tweeted that neither Aishwarya nor he will be performing or attending IIFA Toronto.


The superstar Amitabh Bachchan had been the brand ambassador of the IIFA awards since their commencement in the year 2000, but in 2010, Amitabh couldn't make it to the event in Sri Lanka, and the idea of a brand ambassador itself was turned down. Amitabh Bachchan had previously clarified that he would not be attending the event. He said that his services are not required at the IIFA. The IIFA weekend is to be held from June 23 to June 25. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan had an hideous quarrel at a party few days back. Annoyed Aishwarya walked out of the bash immediately and waited in her car till Abhishek came. Abhishek Bachchan was so busy chatting with Priyanka Chopra that he didn’t even looked around that Aishwarya was not present at the party.

When Abhishek Bachchan kept her waiting for too long, sitting alone in the car, angry actress had no other way out but she had to return back and jogged his memory again that they had to reach hoe in time. As rumors have it, Abhishek and Piggy Chops have been tagged as best friends over the years as she has shared screen space with him in Bluffmaster, Dostana, etc. Another interesting thing to be noticed at the party was that Piggy Chops avoided her ex-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor leaving him unnoticed.
