Superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan make the idol father-son in the entire Bollywood industry. Amitabh who has recently bagged his fourth national award for his superb performance as Auro in the movie 'Paa' has now uttered few words of appreciation again for his son. The actor has said that all this has happened because of his loving son Abhishek Bachchan.


Amitabh Bachchan said that only Abhishek Bachchan and Balki (director of Paa) were able to convince Amitabh for this role. No doubt the father was affected more with the logics of his son and so he made up his mind finally to act in the movie Paa. Amitabh said that it was Abhishek’s well plotted job to make him act in that movie. The other movie of Amitabh for which he got his national awards include Agnipath and Black.

Amitabh Bachchan also said that he is not so much bothered about the awards as he now feels that his age helped him get the award. Since he is in 60s now so he has all the options to choose from a wide variety of versatile roles. The actor also added that he is grateful to those who created roles which were just tailor made for him. He also appreciated Abhishek BAchchan and said that it was he who anticipated Amitabh in that role of Auro.

Abhishek inspired Amitabh for acting in "Paa"

Abhishek Bachchan may not be a very good actor but of course this guy is a perfect husband and more than that, he is a perfect son. He just loves his father Amitabh Bachchan and does everything that may please his dad. He compliments and inspires his dad for every little or big move.


On the other hand , the father, Amitabh, is also no less, he does every possible thing for his son Abhishek. Recently Abhishek Bachchan had inspired his father for enacting the character of “Aurav” in the movie Paa. The megastar Amitabh Bachchan was found saying that he is very thankful to God, for the honor and also for the fact that the movie, produced under Abhishek Bachchan and others, has won three more Awards in other categories as well.

Amitabh Bachchan also told that he was a little hesitant in doing that role which was so challenging but it was his son Abhishek Bachchan and director of Paa - R.Balki, who persuaded him for doing the role. The director also said that he had already planned the film in detail. On the other hand, Abhishek just denied to take a “no” as an answer from Amitabh Bachchan.

Abhishek and Amitabh win National Awards

The residential place of the Bachchans – Jalsa- was full of joy when the news about the National award for best actor in Paa and for the best producer of a Hindi film came in. Both Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were full of joy when they heard the news. Abhishek was not only acting as one of the lead actors in the movie Paa but he was also the main hands-on producer in charge of the film's budget, marketing, and the complete production production of the film.


The actor also got his very first National award for producing the best Hindi film.
This is Amitabh Bachchan’s fourth National award for best actor. His loving son Abhishek Bachchan congratulated his father over the phone and expressed his joy for the award. The sweet dad, Amitabh, received the greetings from his son and then went back to sleep. In fact, the movie Paa was Abhishek Bachchan's first venture into producing films for AB Corp. Ltd, his family company.

About the news of the awards, Abhishek Bachchan said that the first person he called was, naturally, hisson, referring to Mr Bachchan’s makeover as his son in Paa where he acted as Abhishek’s son and Vidya Balan acted as Amitabh’s mother.. Abhishek also added that as a producer he tried to make sure that everyone working for them was comfortable and happy.

This movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya balan and others. For those who do not know , let us tell you that in the movie Paa, Abhishek Bachchan had played the role of a father for his son – Aurav. Aurav was played by Amitabh. Now Abhishek Bachchan has commented that he feels like a “proud father” after his dad, Amitabh Bachchan got the National Award for best actor for “Paa”. Abhi even imitated the signature monkey dance from the movie Paa.

The movie Paa has Amitabh Bachchan playing the role of a progeria patient. This disease causes premature ageing among children. Abhishek played Amitabh’s dad while Vidya Balan was in the role of Big B’s mother on screen. That is why Abhi further added that his son just won the National Award for his performance in ‘Paa’!! While one would think that an actor and an actres would get an award for the "Best Jodi".It was the Bachchan father and son Jodi that took away the audience's heart by winning the Best Jodi at the Star Screen Awards for their movie Paa.

While receiving the award,Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan enthralled the viewers by doing the Auro dance.SRK and Shahid who were present on the stage wanted to join in and so shouted an encore for the performance and the Bachchan Jodi obliged.

The movie Paa won five awards in total in categories like Best Actor,won by Amitabh Bachchan,best actor female by Vidya Balan,best supporting actor female(won by Arundhati) and best child actor by Pratik.

Junior Bachchan to host a TV show

It seems like Abhishek Bachchan has made up his mind to place himself in his father's shoes. After playing the role of a father in his recent released "Paa", he is all set to make debut on small screen. He will be hosting a show titled as Idea National Bingo Night. Fox Television Studios India Private Limited will be producing the show and it will be telecast on Viacom 18’s General Entertainment Channel Colors. Abhishek denies by saying that its not due to his father's association with the chanel that he has agreed to host the show.

He was impressed by the concept and it was the creativity that excited him and he agreed to make his debut on small screen. The international televised version of the popular guessing game Bingo is simple and interactive, involving not just studio participants and audience but also the viewers who can participate in real time.

The concept of the game is pretty simple which will allow people to sit back, relax and play the game. We hope that junior bachchan aka Abhishek Bachchan will recreate the magic of his father on small screen.

Abhishek sporting "I love Paa" badge evrywhere !

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is on cloud nine after the release of his first production venture,"Paa" which recieved immense success at the box office.While most of the films are either appreciated by the masses or the critics.This was one movie that was loved by both. While one would think that Junior B's excitement would die down after months of promotion and a whole week of receiving congratulations for his success as a producer but on the contrary he's still living it up and more so wearing "I love Paa" badge on everything he wears whether its casual or formals !

Abhishek is far shy from exhibiting his love for his first movie "Paa" and says that wearing the badge is not a promotional and marketing stunt.He adds that he loves his Paa and his first baby,Paa too.Bachchan junior was also spotted sharing the center stage with Amitabh Bachchan when the latter received the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Special screening of Paa

A special screening of Bollywood's recently released film Paa was held for the special children of the NGO Deeds. The producers and the lead actors of the film Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan made a special appearance at the screening and met the Auro-like children.

Amitabh Bachchan said that most of the patients look like Auro, with big head, no hair, big big eyes and the veins that can be seen clearly on the head. Big B added that they couldn't show the eye make up in the film, as that would require the star to wear special lens and that would affect his health too, as for doing the eye make up the star had to give injection every two hours.

Genelia praises Abhishek

Genelia D'Souza is currently in Chennai shooting for a South Film. So the catress was unable to attend the premiere of Abhishek Bachchan’s recent released film Paa. However, Genelia D'Souza saw the film in a theatre in Chennai.

The beautiful babe absolutely loved the film and also congratulated Abhishek Bachchan on the movie on a social networking site on being part of such a brilliant film.

She also told him how much she liked both him and Vidya Balan. And, of course not to miss Auro. When Abhishek heard that she went to the theatre he was truly touched by this.

In a recent interview of the co stars of the flick Paa, Abhishek Bachchan and Vidya Balan could not stop themselves from praising each other. Though the appreciation was made on professional terms, it hardly sounded like one.

Abhishek who has worked with Vidya previously in the movie Guru says that he was so mesmerized by the actress' performance during a scene in the movie Guru that he forgot his lines !

Vidya Balan too, was all praises for Junior B. and exclaimed that he is a dream co-star.The actress added that every time she looks into his eyes, something unexpected happens which makes it all the more interesting to work with him

As the role demanded, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan who plays father to Amitabh Bachchan in their upcoming flick Paa needed to carry his father on his back and trot across a vast field for a sequence.

Director of the film R. Balki said, "Abhishek did it in one take. He carried his father effortlessly across the vast field. We shot the sequence near Cambridge in England at a place called Bury St Edmunds."

The place was chosen not just for its green fields but also to avoid large crowds of fans. When Amiatbh Bachchan was asked how he felt to be carried by his own son, the megastar replied, "Carrying me piggyback was Abhishek's job. Jaya and I merely produced a strong boy."

Abhishek plays a politician in Paa

Most happening dude of Bollywood industry Abhishek Bachchan shot 90 per cent of his upcoming flick Paa dressed in a single costume. Abhishek Bachchan is seen wearing a white kurta pyjama for a major portion of film because he is playing the role of a politician.

The clothes worn by Abhishek in the film remain neat and clean, as director R Balakrishnan had even ordered 10 sets of the same kurta pyjama. Abhishek Bachchan plays a young forward-thinking politician who follows in the footsteps of his father played by Paresh Rawal.

Abhishek Bachchan accepted this welcome change. And most importantly it was the requirement of the film. Paa is a sensitive story that also stars Vidya Balan doing the leads. Raavan, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey and Crooked are the latest flicks of the actor.

Paa to release on Nov 14

Director R. Balakrishnan has announced that his new film based on rare disorder Progeria, ‘Paa’, will be released on Nov 14, marking a tribute for the Children's day. This movie has Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles.

Balki is famous for movies like, Cheeni Kum’, win which he had decpicted an unconventional love story between a 30-plus woman and a 60-plus chef, and now in ‘Paa’, he has depicted Britain, which is his favourite.

Big B has been characterized in an entirely different way in ‘Paa’. Fortunately, Abhishek and Vidya Balan too are extremely intelligent actors. Vidya has played such a charming mom. Throughout the film they behave as if Amitji is their son. For Abhishek, this was his chance to get even with his dad," said the director.

Another highlight of Balki's cinema is the music of Ilayaraja.

Even though Balki is worried that Big B's Progeria look has been disclosed, he has revealed that, "Fortunately that's only a part ofhis look. No one came on the set to see how he looks on camera. The makeup person was given a computer-generated picture of Amitji. He improvised a lot on that and added traits from real Progeria
patients." Progeria is an extremely rare genetic disease of childhood characterized by dramatic, premature aging.
