Genelia turns down Bol Bachchan

His status for over crowding his movies with top listed and enterprise completely male oriented movies has paid off for the most part for flawless Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty. But, with the latest twist of events Rohit might have to go back over this modus operandi that has often won him critical appreciation. According to the reports it has been said thatthe leading heroine in his upcoming production titled Bol Bachchan, Genelia D'Souza, felt unimportant in the Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan starrer and so, turned down the offer.
According to the grapevine, the maker of comedy films Rohit Shetty was rather shocked by the actress's opting out and made every possible effort to convince her to do the film. However, Genelia, who was to portray Bindiya Goswami's character in the original, was obstinate about not going ahead with the project anymore. A source clarified that while Rohit has had to return to cast another actress, his losses are not much as the movie has not yet gone on floors.

The source also said that if shooting was in course of action, Rohit Shetty would have to re-shoot with Genelia's substitute, which in turn would have increased the cost of the movie in every manner.At least now, producers Ashtavinayak will not have to put up with a opening in their pocket. It was a good chance for Genelia to opt out before the movie went on floors. When asked why she refused to do the movie, one of the source close to her mentioned that the actress read the script and while reading it she felt that she didn't have a very important character to play in Bol Bachchan. However, a buddy of Genelia came to her justification and rubbished these claims.

Source close to her said that her shooting dates are clashing with Navdeep Singh's movie, featuring Abhay Deol. With Genelia giving up her character in the flick, the film fraternity is already abuzz with assumption about her possible substitute. And it appears that actress Prachi Desai is the most likely in the wish list.It has been revealed that Rohit Shetty approached Prachi and she has given her nod to do the film but both Genelia and Prachi were unavailable to. comment

Abhishek to work with Rohit

Golmaal authorized filmmaker Rohit Shetty will re-make Hrishikesh Mukherjee's 1979 classic piece featuring Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan. Rohit Shetty, who had earlier directed Golmaal, Golmaal Returns and Golmaal 3, is gearing up for Golmaal 4, because this is going to be a remake of the original Golmaal, directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee back in 1979.


The director who has also appeared on Comedy Circus as a celebrity judge is presently re-making one of Bollywood's brilliant comedies on the persistence of superstar Ajay Devgn. Ajay Devgn will be producing the project, and the makers of the movie are yet to decide it’s cast. Abhishek Bachchan will enact Amol Palekar’s double role, Ajay Devgn will play Palekar's boss. Maybe to avoid the puzzle, the movie will be titled a “Bol Bachchan”. As told Ajay Devgn considers Abhishek Bachchn like a younger brother. In fact, Ajay's bonding with the renowned Bachchan family go back to the starting years of his career when Jaya Bachchan had put pressure that Ajay would become a big star.

Ajay Devgn on the same time felt that no movie has been able to profitably beat Bachchan's depraved sense of having the funny side. However, this time let us wish that everything falls on the right place. Now let’s see whether Abhishek Bachchan give out his best to the audience or not!! The actor makes efforts to don different characters in all his movies since he believes viewers will get annoyed if he do the same thing again and again because now actors are considered as normal human beings. Abhi-Ajay together

There is no doubt of iota that Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty is on a roll these days. After the super success of his comedy flick Golmaal series and All The Best, Rohit is now lokking forward on his Diwali 2011 movie, Bol Bachchan. The comedy film will star Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgn, who were earlier seen in LOC Kargil and Zameen.


However Ajay Devgan confirmed the news by asserting that it’s true that both Abhishek and he’s working with Rohit Shetty again for Bol Bachchan. It’s Ajay’s home production and will release next Diwali. Speaking about the next edition of Golmaal, the brilliant actor said, GOLMAAL 4 will also happen next to next year. It’s necessary to have two years gap between two Golmaal films so that better script can come out. Meanwhile, Ajay Decgn is also ready for India’s first live action – 3D animation combination feature film, Toonpur Ka Superhero. It also stars Kajol and hits the silver screen on December 24, 2010. Game, Players, Dum Maaro Dum are the upcoming films that will feature Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role.
