Abhi-Ash-Vivek in one film

The rumour-mongers are telling that this time an ex is starring aongwith the current hubby and we are referring to Vivek Oberoi.

The buzz is that the shooting for film "Tansen" will begin in next month and it will star Abhishek, Aishwarya, Anil Kapoor and even Vivek Oberoi. The film is set to be shot in Bangkok first and then would also be shot on other international locations in Australia and New Zealand.

The historical epic is going to be a mega project and will be one of the costliest films ever made in Bollywood.

The film is based on the life of Mughal court singer Tansen and has Abhishek as the lead character. It is directed by Satish Kaushik and produced by Rajshri and even Sony is supposed to have put money in it.

Apart from this Barjatya project, Abhishek is working alongside wife Aishwarya in Mani Ratnam's much-hyped "Ravana". It is also rumoured that he and Ash have been cast in a remake of the Amitabh-Jaya starrer "Abhimaan".

Tansen will be directed by Satish Kaushik, it will be a bio-pic on the life and music of the legendary musician-singer Tansen who regaled Emperor Akbar’s court in the 16th century. The last important film on Tansen was made in 1943 when K L Saigal immortalised the classical vocalist with his screen presence and voice in a film directed by Jayant Desai.

Apparently since Kaushik worked with him in Karz, Himesh’s name did come up for consideration. But the Barjatyas firmly vetoed the idea. And the mantle has fallen on Abhishek Bachchan.

Satish Kaushik said “Abhishek has the look and intensity. He also has the dialogue delivery of his father. And we do need a Tansen who thinks in Hindi and talks the language fluently”. That kind of eliminates the Barjatyas’s favourites Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan — who apparently were also considered. Barjatyas have roped in the talented Ravindra Jain who has given hit background score in ‘Chit Chor’ and ‘Geet Gata Chal’.
