Race 2 – Abhishek in, Saif out ?

The latest buzz of Bollywood is that the shoot of the movie Race 2 will begin soon. But what is surprising is that according to the sources, Saif Ali Khan will not be there in this sequel. It has been said that Saif has walked out of this movie because of his tight and busy schedule.

So who is the lucky one to replace chote nawab? Well he is another nawab, I mean junior Bachchan, i.e. Abhishek Bachchan. Yes, if sources have to be believed then Abhishek Bachchan will be replacing Saif Ali Khan in Race 2. The star cast of Race included Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Khanna, Bipasha Basu, Anil Kapoor and Katrina Kaif while the sequel Race 2 will have Anil Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor and John Abraham . Ramesh Taurani is the producer for Race 2 and the movie will be directed by Abbas Mustan.

As far as Saif Ali Khan’s busy schedule is concerned, well the actor is busy with his home production movie, ‘Agent Vinod. On the other hand, Abhishek Bachchan is presently busy with Abbas Mustan’s ‘Italian Job’ remake film.

Abhishek Stands Out in IIFA 2009



Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan gave an emotional speech while collecting his trophy for Best Performance in a Comic Role at the IIFA awards here today.

No other actor in any Bollywood awards history till date has managed this honour. The nominations for Abhishek for IIFA 2009 were in the following categories - Best Actor in a Leading Role Male for Dostana, Best Actor in a Supporting Role Male for Sarkar Raj, Best Actor in a Comic Role Male for Dostana and Star of the decade Male.

The 33-year-old star won the award for his performance in the gay comedy 'Dostana' beating off competition from Anil Kapoor (Race), Rajpal Yadav (Bhoothnath) Shreyas Talpade (Welcome To Sajjanpur), Tejpal Singh (Jodhaa Akbar) and Tushar Kapoor (Golmaal Returns).

Abhishek was teary eyed as he gave his acceptance speech thanking his father, superstar Amitabh Bachchan for his support and love.
Abhishek dedicated the award to father Amitabh and said that he drew inspiration from his act in the film
'Amar Akbar Anthony'.

Abhi-Ash-Vivek in one film

The rumour-mongers are telling that this time an ex is starring aongwith the current hubby and we are referring to Vivek Oberoi.

The buzz is that the shooting for film "Tansen" will begin in next month and it will star Abhishek, Aishwarya, Anil Kapoor and even Vivek Oberoi. The film is set to be shot in Bangkok first and then would also be shot on other international locations in Australia and New Zealand.

The historical epic is going to be a mega project and will be one of the costliest films ever made in Bollywood.

The film is based on the life of Mughal court singer Tansen and has Abhishek as the lead character. It is directed by Satish Kaushik and produced by Rajshri and even Sony is supposed to have put money in it.

Apart from this Barjatya project, Abhishek is working alongside wife Aishwarya in Mani Ratnam's much-hyped "Ravana". It is also rumoured that he and Ash have been cast in a remake of the Amitabh-Jaya starrer "Abhimaan".
