Junior Bachchan-A Liar

Abhishek Bachchan is caught in the buzz this time is that he denied meeting Claudia Ciesla, a German supermodel at the Cannes Festival. The junior Bachchan also went ahead and said that if such news about him meeting Claudia benefits her then he has no problems with the news that he met her during Cannes.

Now when Claudia heard this she could not stop herself from reacting. A shocked Claudia even has photographs to prove her meeting with the star.

What Claudia had to say was, “Is Abhishek a liar or does he have a bad memory? He might not remember me. We met at the Indian pavilion at Cannes. His wife wasn’t there with him when we met.” The supermodel Claudia wishes that Abhishek Bachchan speaks the truth if they ever meet again in the future.

The two had a brief meeting where she discussed he forthcoming film, ‘Karma: Crime, Passion and Reincarnation’ directed by Shahjahan. Claudia is currently trying to set herself in the film industry.

A source confirms the meeting and says, “Claudia met Abhishek at the festival as well as Subhash Ghai. She was seen having an animated conversation with Abhishek and he too was listening intently to her.”

What Abhishek has to say after all this..

Abhishek accompanies Ash to Cannes

Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan, launched the India Pavillion on the Cannes beach front amidst great fanfare even as festival's Deputy General-Delegate Christian Jeune hoped that India would soon end its dry run at the French festival.

Abhi who was not accompanied by wifey Aishawairya drew a crowd of photographers, pen pushers and autograph-seekers, who elbowed one another to get closer to the star, who was clearly the man of the moment.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and veteran actress Sharmila Tagore who is on the festival jury, failed to make an appearance much to the dismay of the assembled crowd but the event was attended by Subhash Ghai, Deepti Naval, Manisha Koirala, producer Bobby Bedi and Christian Jeune, Deputy General-Delegate of the Cannes Film Festival amongst others.

In a brief speech, Jeune hoped that India's dry run at the Festival, now on since the 2002 Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Devdas", would soon end.

Deepti Naval is in Cannes to screen her debut feature, "Two Paise for Sunshine, Four Annas for Rain", in the market tomorrow along with Manisha Koirala, who plays the lead in the film.
