Abhi felt uncomfortable

Bollywood filmstar Abhishek Bachchan whose movie Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey has hit the theatres is not proud of himself. Abhishek has enacted the role of Surjya Sen, a school teacher highly praised for the 1930 armoury raid in British India, in the film. Based on the Chittagong Uprising, Abhishek Bachchan mentioned that he was ashamed when director Ashutosh Gowariker brought him the script.

Abhishek Bachchan
Being the reason that Abhishek hadn't heard about freedom fighter Surjya Sen nor did he know much about the Chittagong Uprising. Abhi told that because he was put in a European boarding school as a child, and learnt more about European history there than Indian history. However, the actor has decided to catch up on Indian history post this experience. The actor is recieving good feedback for his performance in this one, and feels proud and happy that he got an opportunity to do this movie. However, the one thing that Abhishek Bachchan was uncomfortable with was shaving off his stubble, because he apparently feels naked without that little facial hair!!!!

Abhishek and Sikander Are Brothers

Sikander Kher, the son of Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher starred in Sohail Tatari- his debut movie in Bollywood. The movie was released in the summer of 2007 which did not do so well in the box office. He also was a part of Woodstock Villa which was critically acclaimed but was not also able to hit major box office marks. One could safely assume that the first parts of his career were not that big a hit.

Sikander Kher, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan
However when he was suggested by Abhishek Bachchan in the movie Aushutosh Gowariker of Khelein Hum Jee Jan Sey that he career started to take off quite well. He is very grateful to Abhishej for the opportunity and for suggesting his name. He thinks that in the movie in which he was applauded. However, contrary to the belief of many, the movie did not take off so well in the box office yet again and so he was disappointed. But then he was not so disheartened by what happened because that failure is needed so that a person could grow.

Without failing, there would not be success because it comes with some pain and problems as well. With a positive outlook he was wearing in the movie with Ashutosh Gowariker’s next movie Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey. He believes that the movie industry is very competitive and that it is a very great thing that he is able to do something for someone. Because he got referred by Abhishek to act in the film, he is feeling very excited. Kher says that he grew up with Abhishek and that they would hang out with each other a lot of times. They also spent time together driving very long routes and that they played squash balls and cricket. He feels that the latter is his eldest brother.

The movie in which both will be part of is based on 1930 Chittagong uprising. He will play a very intense character in the movie. He kept mum on the matter and has spent most of the times learning and struggling to portray the role well. It is expected that everyone will see a very strong role in this particular movie as it hits the screen this year. Kher credits his comeback in Bollywood to Abhishek’s help. He will be seen again in Abbas-Mastan movie players. The movie is also filled with stunts and action plots that will be enjoyed by many. He plays one of the experts. He is bound to depart for Goa in the 13th of December to start the shooting of the movie.

Asin in Ashutosh Gowarikar film starring Abhishek

The lead pair of Ashutosh Gowariker’s next period venture, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, which is based on the Chittagong Uprising, is finally in place. We had earlier reported that Abhishek Bachchan will play the lead role as Surjya Sen. Now the buzz is that Gowariker has finalised Asin to play the female lead.

Abhishek Bachchan

A source said, “This will be the first time that Abhishek and Asin will be paired opposite each other. The film’s first schedule will tentatively start around November 25.”

Ashutosh reportedly summoned Asin at his Khar office where he expressed his desire to cast her for this period drama.

Asin was so rejoiced that she gave an affirmative nod even before she heard the full narration of the script. She told Ashu that she has seen his previous films and was looking forward to working with him.

Unexpectedly beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who was supposed to work in this film at the first place is not a part of the project now. Does this have anything to do with motherhood?

Apparently, the forthcoming film will be produced by Gowariker along with PVR Pictures and not UTV who had produced his last three films.

Abhishek and Ashutosh team up

Abhishek Bachchan has teamed up with director Ashutosh Gowariker's new flick, titled ‘Khelein Hum Ji Jaan Sey’.

The film is reportedly a period film and is based on the Chittgong uprising, will the lead Abhishek will play the character of Surjya Das.

Abhishek and Ashutosh

The director is no stranger to period flicks, he has, after all directed Lagaan and Jodha Akbar in the past. Apart from Abhishek Bachchan, the rest of the supporting cast will be made up of relatively unknowns or newcomers as Gowariker plans to introduce some new talent to Bollywood.

And contrary to earlier beliefs, Aishwarya Rai will not be part of ‘Khelein Hum Ji Jaan Sey’.

The curiously titled ‘Khelein Hum Ji Jaan Sey’ will chart the events in Chittagong between 1900 and 1950, when revolutionaries and opposition movements grew during this time. Abhishek Bachchan plays Surya Sen, the chief architect of anti-British freedom movement in Chittagong.

We wish Ashu all the best for his upcoming film, WHAT'S YOUR RASHEE (releasing September 25) and looking forward to his first time teaming up with Abhishek Bachchan.

Abhi Ash Family Planning

Aishwarya Rai a busy lady so much so that she isn't free for any new assignment till late 2010 but the news is that the couple Abhi-Ash are planning family thenafter. The Bachchan family tree is set to grow further as Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan reportedly plan to
start a family once the actress is through with her film assignments.

To those who’ve been wondering why no good news has yet come from this couple despite more than two years of their marriage, this little piece of info might quench their curiosity. The couple are learnt to be planning to have a baby, but not anytime soon.

Apparently, Ash is one of the busiest actresses in Bollywood as of now. The films in her kitty would probably keep her occupied in shootings till the first quarter of 2010. But reports say she plans to
keep a good number of months free in the next year, to be able to
start a family with Abhi.

Ash is presently committed her time to four films – Mani Ratnam’s Ravana with Abhishek, Shankar’s Endhiran with Rajnikant , Vipul Shah’s Action Replay with Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzarish with Hrithik Roshan . She’s also signed director Abhinay Deo’s film
‘Crooked’.

The list doesn’t include the directors who have expressed their wish to work with her; among them are the talented Vishal Bhardwaj and Ashutosh Gowarikar who’s already directed her in Jodhaa Akbar .

It remains to be seen how many new projects Ash signs in the coming months. After all, family comes first!
