The song ‘Go Meera Go’ will once again bring together the father-son jodi after the mega classic hit ‘Kajraare’ from ‘Bunty aur Bubli’ that also featured Aishwarya Rai with them. Actor turned producer Abhishek Bachchan natters about his dads and his upcoming flicks.Abhishek Bachchan marched into 2011 with the release of two projects ‘Game’ and ‘Dum Maaro Dum’, both were a dud at the box office. But after his father’s victory, Abhishek has once again planned to play the character of a producer for Amitabh’s next film, ‘Buddah Hoga Terra Baap’. Moreover Amitabh Bachchan, the film will also feature Sonu Sood and Sonal Chauhan. Abhishek also asserted that he have seen the movie and think it has been delivered fantastically.

Abhi-Aish to be absent at IIFA Awards this year

The latest news is spreading all around that the Bachchan parivaar are mending with the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA), and that Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai would execute at the occasion in Toronto too. But it seems like Abhishek Bachchan has smashed the gossip. Just to make it clear, Abhishek tweeted that neither Aishwarya nor he will be performing or attending IIFA Toronto.


The superstar Amitabh Bachchan had been the brand ambassador of the IIFA awards since their commencement in the year 2000, but in 2010, Amitabh couldn't make it to the event in Sri Lanka, and the idea of a brand ambassador itself was turned down. Amitabh Bachchan had previously clarified that he would not be attending the event. He said that his services are not required at the IIFA. The IIFA weekend is to be held from June 23 to June 25. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan had an hideous quarrel at a party few days back. Annoyed Aishwarya walked out of the bash immediately and waited in her car till Abhishek came. Abhishek's Players to clash with Don 2

Now 2011 will feature the conflict of a lot of big banner movies at the box office. All thanks to the same release dates. It has been heard that actor Shahrukh Khan's forthcoming release Don 2 is going to be a Christmas release as well as Abhishek’s Players directed by Abbas Mustan will also follow the same path. This show fulfilled all my criteria, so I agreed. Format of the show is excellent. I always wanted to do an interactive show. Serious shows don’t excite me. The best part about the show is that apart from studio audience viewers who are sitting at home can also play and win money while they are relaxing and spending time with their family.

Q. You are making your television debut; don’t you think people will compare you with your father?
A. Be it my acting career or now the television debut, I have been always compared to him. I am his son so comparison will be there. It’s a matter of great honor being his son but I am tired of answering this question. Do I hope to out do him? No. Whatever he has achieved cannot be achieved by mere talks. I don’t compete with my father. No son can do it and I too don’t intend to do it.

Abhi-Aish to be paired in Crooked

The film ‘Crooked’ produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the banner of Excel Entertainment is to be made in the same like Hollywood’s top spy based flick Bourne Identity.

The movie features Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Gunal Pag, Boman Irani, and Jimmy Shergill in main roles. The film's shooting will start in Mumbai on January 4, and it has a non-stop schedule of 40 days in Greece, Thailand, London and Istanbul too.

Abhishek Bachchan's upcoming movies for 2010 include Mani Ratnam's Raavan opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Paa with co-star Vidya Balan. The star is all set to bang the silver screen with his outstanding performance.

Kiran Shah to play five year old Big B in Paa

Balki has casted Kiran Shah to play the role of 5 year old Amitabh Bachchan in his forthcoming film Paa. Kiran Shah has worked in number of Hollywood films like The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of Jedi and The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

Kiran Shah is 53 years old and is three feet tall. Kiran walks like a normal child and with the help of Prosthetics, he has been transformed in to looking like young Amitabh Bachchan. The film Paa is about a person who suffers from Progeria, a disease that makes one age faster. Let's hope that Kiran do full justice to the role.

Abhishek's turn to do a historical film

Post Aamir Khan's ‘Lagaan', Hrithik Roshan's ‘Jodha-Akbar', Salman Khan's Veer, now comes the turn of Abhishek Bachchan to entitle a role for himself in a historical film. News is that well-known director Ashutosh Gowarikar is ready yet again with an idea of a period film and this time he wants Abhishek to do the lead role. Ashutosh is working over the menace created in Chittagong during the British period which is portrayed in a book that he will refer to for writing the script.

The movie is based on a book titled ‘Do or Die' penned down by Manini Chatterjee of which Ashutosh Gowarikar has bought the copyrights for film-making.

The movie is said to be named as ‘Khele Hum Ji Jaan Se' which will have a big star cast and will have even bigger budget.

Abhishek Bachchan shook and twisted with enviable Tashan for "Genda Phool" in ‘Delhi 6’. If you loved the moves, then Bachchan Jr. likes to claim that the credit goes solely to him.

He elaborated, “You see Rakeysh (director Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra) wouldn’t hire a choreographer for this song. Everyone was told that they could do whatever they wanted... So I just went with the flow, and did whatever I wanted.”

Abhishek at Lavasa Women’s Drive Awards

The award function for the winners of the Lavasa Women’s Drive was held at The Club, Andheri on 8th of April.



Many a women braved the heat and the cryptic map to reach Lavasa and around 250 cars participated in the Lavasa Women’s Drive. Although not all but many of them made it to Lavasa within time.

This drive was initiated in close association with The Women’s Cancer Intiative, Tata Memorial Hospital to raise the awareness for women’s cancer. Each car donated a part of the participation fee towards a donation for the cause. The award function was organized to give away the prizes to the top 10 winners on the basis of the regulations laid out by WIAA. It was ladies day out as all the female participants came to receive their awards and others just came to cheer them up.
The guest of honour was Mr.Abhishek Bachchan to make the women out there feel extra special. As the AB baby entered the function, got geared up and everyone got filled with unmatched zeal.



Abhishek looked quite classy and regal, a thorough gentleman. He was sporting a black blazer with a clean shaved look.

Bachchan Jr. will be speaking in the prestigious Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania on 21st March, 2009. This will be a moment of proud for one and all back home. Abhishek will express his views as part of a panel exploring the impact of India’s booming economy on the Hindi film industry.

Abhishek, who will be addressing the students and staff of the posh business school, is not only confident about facing his learned gathering in the US, he is also writing his speech entirely on his own. A friend of the young actor revealed, “It’s a big honour, considering Bollywood is still in its infancy and considering actors all over the world have been labeled intellectually challenged from the 19th century onwards.” Abhishek rushed to Malaysia for one day’s shooting of Paa, returned to Mumbai, and is spending all his free time polishing up his speech. “He’s taking his role as a spokesperson at the international forum very seriously,” added his friend.

Bachchan Jr., along with filmmaker Rohan Sippy and PVR Cinemas Chairman Ajay Bijli , will be part of a panel on Bollywood’s Silver Screen: Pursuit of the Golden Globe at the 13th edition of the Philadelphia event.

Discussion topics will chart the growth of the industry, encompass the retailing of cinema, exploring the changing landscape in film financing and how prolific cinema-making has given way to a quality that is appreciated by a much broader audience, the Forum said in a statement on its website. Bachchan’s father Amitabh wrote about Abhishek’s Wharton engagement, describing it as a sign of the expanding reach of Indian cinema, on his blog.

The forum will be driven by business leaders, politicians and experts from across the world who will come together to share their outlook and vision on the ‘Road Ahead for India ’, this year’s title theme.

Apart from Abhishek, former sportsmen Sunil Gavaskar, Geet Sethi and Vijay Amritraj, Sabeer Bhatia , film director Rohan Sippy and Rahul Gandhi are expected to share their vision for a new India.

Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra, Bobby Deol, were in lead roles. "Dostana" performed well both in India and overseas markets. Abhishek played the role of a goofy kind of a guy in the film. Dostana is a madcap comedy where two straight men pretend to be gays. It's the first Hindi film that is a rectangle in which three men loves the same woman, but two of them, guys in this case, pretend to be a couple.







Miami is the setting for "Dostana".Where Abhishek Bachchan as Sameer and John Abraham as Kunal are turned down for an apartment because the landlady [Sushmita Mukherjee] doesn't want these two young men to corrupt her niece Neha [Priyanka Chopra], they make a plan and they pretend to be gay to secure the apartment.
Film offers loads of fun-n-laughter and it just entertains in those 14 reels.
Both Abhishek and John are fantabulous. Abhishek pulls out all the stops and delivers one of the finest performances of his career. Abhishek's work must be appreciated in this movie. Abhi's comic timing is extremely superb in the film. "Dostana", is a winner all the way. Dostana simply rocks.....Have fun!!!!
