Abhishek eager to work with Puri

Bollywood filmstar turned producer Abhishek Bachchan is delighted with the way Puri directed his father Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap’. Being the co-producer of the recent release, Abhishek Bachchan is somewhat impressed by the way Puri has directed the project and is thinking of making a sequel to it.But before the concluding decision about the sequel could be made, Dum Maaro Dum star has already signed a movie called ‘The Businessman’ that will be intended for by Puri and is quite raring to go to work on it.

The Bollywood movie is already being made in Telugu with Mahesh Babu in the lead and as Abhishek heard the story he was quite impressed with it and wanted to start working on it. The female lead of the Telugu version is Kajal Agrawal, however the Hindi version is yet to get its other actors on board.On the other hand, the Bachchans boycotted IIFA, Bachchan’s Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap veteran actress Hema Malini used the raised area to divulge the first look of her movie Tell Me O Kkhuda.

It’s almost like Amitabh Bachchan approaching an Abhishek Bachchan featured because Abhishek does not have the weapons to get a lot of gazing eyes on his own.Hema Malini on the other side undoubtedly appears to have taken the indication from Amitabh to promote her not-so-popular daughter Esha. Few days ago, Hema even went on from being a producer to the filmmaker of Tell Me O Kkhuda. While, the accurate release date has not been finalized as yet, Hema is trying her best to make sure that she makes every possible effort to rope in Esha in the movie and make it a superhit film.

Abhishek imitates Aamir

The two super successful stars of Bollywood industry, Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan are well known for their smart trade proficiency and film marketing gimmicks. Both of the Khans have not only minted money but have also made a way for others to follow their footsteps. And now Big B’s son Abhishek Bachchan is doing the same job.


Abhishek Bachchan takes on some of the biggest action movies this year with ‘Game’, ‘Dum Maaro Dum’, ‘Players’ and ‘Dhoom 3’. He is very muchconcerned about the films releasing in the same month ofthe year, though. For his movies Abhishek is going to merge his strategies with his producers. As par the reports, the actor sits with Ritesh Sidhwani, Producer of ‘Game’ and Rohan Sippy, Producer of ‘Dum Maaro Dum’, so that his upcoming movies are promoted with a different look. Abhishek is also looking at the publicity stunt of these films and keeps track of what should or shouldn’t go out.

The actor spends more time promoting both movies and is also rehearsing for shows he had committedto. At the same time, he is dubbing for ‘Dum Maaro Dum’,” Currently Abhi is shooting for ‘Players’. On the same side Abhishek Bachchan told that things are a lot more organized now and he wants to schedule everything in advance so that everything is planned well. The actor disclosed that, “Game and Dum Maaro Dum are different movies. One is detective novel while the other is an action thriller. The only thing common between them is that he’s the lead actor. These movies and his hard work made him sick as he is suffering from viral fever these days. We wish a speedy recovery for the actor!!

Double treat for Abhi

Abhishek Bachchan's strong, silent and songless cop's character in Rohan Sippy's upcoming next Dum Maaro Dum just got itself a song. And the music composer for the song is Pritam, who’s been working overnight to get the song ready. As reported, Abhishek Bachchan’s character of the no-nonsense cop in “Dum Maaro Dum” is based on his dear father the Big B's reticent no-nonsense police officer act in Prakash Mehra's ‘Zanjeer’.


According to the sources, it was felt that Abhi's character in the movie was getting too serious. The character needed to be lightened up. So Rohan Sippy, director of the flick decided to shoot a song with Abhishek. When contacted the music composer Pritam Chakraborty, he told that he has been asked to add a song for Abhishek Bachchan in the film. Abhishek won't be lip-syncing the track. But it will be his song only. You will hear the song whenever Abhishek comes on screen. Apparently, there was a big debate to decide if Abhishek's role should actually lip-syncing the song. The interesting point is that in Amitabh Bachchan starrer Zanjeer actors as varied as the superstars of the time Dev Anand, Dharmendra and Shammi Kapoor had said no to the cop's role because he had no songs to sing in themovie.

Prakash Mehra and the writers refused to budge over the song issue. The Big B was the last choice for the role in Zanjeer. But in the case of Dum Maaro Dum, Abhishek Bachchan was the first choice. And the entire team didn't want to dilute his character for any reasons. At the same time it was felt the character needed a bit of music. That's why Pritam was urgently asked to do Abhishek's song. Well! We hope that Dum Maaro Dum would become a successful hit this year!!!

Abhi Justin Bieber’s fan

Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan has promised his niece Navya Naveli that he will listen to international sensation Justin Bieber’s songs, but his composer buddy Vishal Dadlani is asking the actor to stay away from the teen sensation. Abhishek Bachchan even tweeted that, “My promise to my niece this new year that I’ll start listening to Justin Beiber. Oh god help me.

Guess never say never.” To this, Vishal Dadlani the music composer answered, “Oh. My. God! Run, AB, run! That whiny girl voice, those syrupy songs, it’s a fate worse than death!” The composer has also invited Abhishek Bachachan to bring his niece to one of his shows. Anyways, Game, Players and Dum Maaro Dum will be featuring Abhishek Bachchan in different avatars. Just wait and watch, the guy is coming to make all his female fans crazy!!

Abhishek enjoyed Udaipur visit

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan visited historic place Udaipur for National Bingo Night. When he entered on the stage with the popular song of Delhi 6, Genda Phool. This was the first week’s contestants show tourist driver Rakesh Sharma, who is playing for Maruti SX4. Abhishek wants that Rakesh win more, but actually, he went to win two of those three lucky balls.


Next contestants was Jitendra Verma, decided to surprise him to bringing some of his female friends on the stage, who performed Rajasthani folk dance for Jr. B, Abhishek also joined then and enjoyed.

Abhishek Bipasha as Ravana and Mandodri

Bipasha Basu has signed on to play Ravan's wife Mandodari in Mani Ratnam's upcoming film, Ravana. Abhishek Bachchan plays Ravana.Aishwarya Rai plays the role of Sita, the central figure of the story.South actor Vikram plays Aishwarya's husband, Ram.




Bipasha will begin filming from mid September for a period of 20 days.Her 40 minute long role is important and includes an item song.

Mandodari, the beautiful and pious daughter of the King of Danavas,Mayasura and the celestial dancer, Apsara Hema, is best known as the Queen Consort of Ravana. She was the mother of Indrajit, who got his name after defeating Indra, the King of Gods.

Bipasha immediately said yes to the role. She had agreed to do it a month ago but Mani Ratnam had given her strict instructions to not talk about it. Bipasha's costumes are ready. She is very happy with her look in the film. She is looking forward to joining the unit of Raavana.

Essaying the role of Ravan in Mani Ratnam’s next flick, Abhishek’s look is doing him much good as he is getting under the skin of the character. The actor has shaved off his greasy hair. But it’s going to take a while before Abhishek comes out in the open with his ‘Ravana’ look as the actor is observing strict orders by director Mani Ratnam.

Nayantara refuses to play Shoorpankha in Raavan

Nayantara is in no mood of becoming Abhishek Bachchan's sister. Mani Ratnam had approached Nayantara to play Shoorpankha’s character in his Abhishek nad Aishwarya starrer film Raavan but Nayantara refused for the role as she said that the role was not of her interest.



There is news all around that now when a half a movie has been shot the script had missed out the important character of Raavan's sister Shoorpankha. Mani has now approached National Award winning actress Priyamani to play the role and she has given her nod.

Raavan is a modern day adaptation of the epic Ramayana. Tamil superstar Vikram will be playing Ram with Aishwarya Bachchan playing the role of Sita. Abhishek Bachchan will be palying the character of Raavan who kidnaps Sita. The movie which is also being made in Tamil is expected to hit the theatres in January 2010.

Abhishek Bachchan will be paired with Vidya Balan in his upcoming flick Pa where he'll be playing father to Amitabh Bachchan. Abhishek, a former LG Electronics' brand ambassador, now represents Motorola and Samsung phones in India.

Abhishek Bachchan wants to work with Bebo

You might see Kareena Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan together in some time again. Both the stars looked very good together in their debut film Refugee. Abhishek admits that he wants to work with his first ever co-star again.

Abhishek's upcoming films in 2009-2010

Abhishek Bachchan has worked with directors as diverse as Rakeysh Mehra and Mani Ratnam.From Rakeysh Mehra's Delhi 6, Abhishek Bachchan is now going into Delhi Belly director Abhinay Deo's next. Deo will plunge straight into his next project with Abhishek right after he finishes his Imran Khan starrer Delhi Belly.




For the Bachchan junior it has been a time of great learning experiences. He looks back and thinks that he has gathered good memories with each film that he did. Last and this year he did some great films like Sarkar Raj and Dostana. Then this year came Delhi 6.

Another major project on the anvil is with wife Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan again. It's a film based on Abhimaan with Rajiv Menon while the two are featuring together in Raavana.
